Indoor Fun!!!

Now that the weather has cooled down we’ve been looking for fun things to do inside!!! So, today Ellie and I went to the Earlywine indoor splash pad/pool. She loved it but wasn’t as adventurous as this summer at the outdoor pool but it’s probably because she had a three month brake since then…so I’m thinking she’ll really love this more as the winter goes on and we go more often!!

Later this afternoon we went to the Norman Community Center and our friend Ashley taught Ellie some gymnastics. She loved the beam and bouncy board, but mostly liked running around!! Who know’s maybe gymnastics is her future sport???

College Journey Fall Retreat!

We had an absolute blast at the College Journey Fall Retreat this weekend. Adam, Ellie and I stayed with the students at the amazing Ada Lodge! Here are some fun pics from the weekend!!

Chicago Trip!

Last weekend Ellie and I travel up to Chicago to see Nonna, Pop-Pop, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Kelsey, Uncle Aaron, and Heather to mention a few!! It was such a blast!! We watched Aunt Kelsey finish the Chicago Marathon in 3 hours and 57 minutes! Pop-Pop and I enjoyed the season opener for the Blackhawks which included the Stanley Cup presentation and raising of the banner!! It was great spending time with our family and enjoying lots of great food and fun, as always!!

A FUN FALL SO FAR….

We started our 2010 Fall off by visiting the ORR Family Farm!! It’s only 10 minutes from our house and has tons of amazing stuff to do!!

Barnett Family Update

ELLIE~

Since Ellie’s First Birthday she’s been walking on her own like crazy. She’s now getting to the point that she walks so fast she trips over her own feet…..I’m sure she’ll be running in no time! She’s currently learning sign language but hasn’t picked up on any signs just yet. We’re watching “Signing Time” videos at least once a day to try and learn the basics like milk, water, food, mom, dad, and more! She’s at that age where I can tell she wants to be talking but just can’t so hopefully this will help!

ADAM~

This semester Adam has taken a new role at Journey Church. He’s now the College Pastor. He absolutely loves his new role which allows him to speak on Tuesday night to about 600 students and work alongside some amazing friends. He will still oversee Missions and still go overseas a few times a year like usual. He recently got a new car, a 2010 Toyota Corolla, and loves it! As always he’s performing weddings and is even being asked to speak at Church retreats and camps this fall. In general, Adam’s in a great place with his career, ministry, and life….He’s the most amazing husband, father, and follower of Christ I know!!!

ANDREA~

Life is better than ever for me! I’m madly in love with my husband and beautiful daughter. I truly enjoy being home with Ellie on a daily basis and love more than anything watching her grow, learn, and love others. My job with Mission of Hope Haiti is absolutely amazing. I’m working part time from home doing events, fund-raising, and marketing. I’ve prayed for years that God would allow me to use my non-profit fund-raising skills for His glory and I love every minute of it! I’m also helping with the Women’s Ministry at Journey. I’m writing the weekly homework and acting as a table leader for the morning bible study. Needless to say I’m very busy but trying to Reign in my life rather than just keep my head above water.

God is good and we feel truly blessed to be serving Him daily!!!
