So, tonight Ellie sucked her thumb for the first time. She sucks her hands none stop and is offically a “drool monster”, it was really exciting because Adam was the only one who saw it….and since I’m home with her he misses a lot of firsts. She’s giggling more often now! Today mommy and daughter took a bath together. It was so much fun watching her sit, stand, and float in the water. I don’t submerge her for her regular baths so this was like swimming for her!! She’s flat out the happiest baby on earth. We are so blessed and look forward to sharing more and more as she grows!

Ellie is the best baby we could have imagined God giving us!! She is an amazing sleeper. She takes about 4 naps a day and sleeps 8 hours a night between feedings and another 3 to 4 in the early morning!! She smiles a lot and has the most beautiful smile ever. Ellie has started baby talk. She loves to talk back and forth with people, but you must use a baby voice, of course!!

She rolled over at 5 weeks and loves to run/ride a bike while she’s lying on her back. We’re going to Colorado this Christmas and I’m sure she’ll be skiing or snowboarding on the bunny slope, haha!! But really, I know she’s going to be a very active baby and toddler. And yes I am very excited about chasing her even if we have to baby proof the house earlier then normal.

I have officially become that mother!! I burned all of our pictures and video from the last 3 months and during my pregnancy and we have over 15 cds. Thanks for keep up with our little family and we look forward to sharing more!!

My best friend Natalie came down to Oklahoma from California to visit for a week. Ellie and I had a blast hangout with her and getting some much needed girl time and relaxation. Natalie decided that she might want to get a tattoo while she was here and surprise her hubby with something special. Because I knew she was a little scared I thought maybe Adam and I would get something too since we already have tattoos and thought this might help her fears. So….. guess what happened?

We ended up getting tattoos and she didn’t!! It’s so funny how sometimes things that aren’t even your idea turn out to be so fun and memorable. Adam and I got the same tattoo which we had discussed before Ellie’s birth. We got a star on our ribs with her first initial in it “E”. Adam got a more basic “E” while I went with the script (girly) letter.

We heard the ribs were the most painful place to get a tattoo but since I got to look in my daughters eyes while getting the tattoo nothing could have been less painful. Yes, we plan on getting a couple more stars as we have atleast one more child.

Our prayer is that our stars will remind us of God’s love and faithfulness as we do our best to raise godly children. We are so blessed to have one of the millions of descendents promised to Abraham and know that God will use our children for His glory and kingdom!!
