Since Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday, due to my birthday being the 15th too, I thought it would be fun to capture some pictures! This weekend marked two years of life for our little miracle!! I can’t believe it’s been two years since we checked into the hospital for Ellie’s day of birth….
If you haven’t seen already, Ellie broke her elbow four days before her birthday!! So, much of the week was taking care of her and preparing for her party Saturday. I was blessed to have my mother and brother in on Wednesday this week and they were tons of help!! And Ellie’s cast was waterproof which was perfect since we had a pool party for her 😉
This week Ellie will be starting ‘school’ or what they call ‘mother’s day out’ but it feels like we signed her up for kindergarden…. It should be very interested, since they’ll be helping me finish Ellie’s potty training and teaching her to take a nap on a mat with 30 other kids in the room?!?

Okay this is the last time I’ll talk about my little baby turning one!! But it’s just unbelievable how the time flies. She has such a sweet spirit, smile, and heart that I just want to keep her my baby forever! However, all these great qualities do make me excited for all God will do through her in her lifetime. Here are some more pictures from her actual Birthday yesterday. We had dinner and cupcakes at our house last night with BG, Papa, Aunt Stephanie, Uncle Andy, and cousins Luke, Alex, and Grayson!

With Ellie’s first birthday just 9 days away I’m starting to evaluate all her milestones and funny quarks….
-She is crawling with great speed
-She has two teeth in the center of her bottom gums
-She knows the word ‘Kiss’ and will kiss almost anyone at anytime
-She says ‘ah oh’ pretty much on command or if something falls
-She loves to make noises with her tongue especially when you stick yours out too
-She’s starting to walk on her own in 5-10 step increments, but it’s only from one persons arms to the next
-She loves water. The bath and pool really make her happy!
-Her favorite foods right now are fruits (strawberries, peaches, and pears), gold fish, sandwich meat, and salmon! She, of course, loves ice cream and sweets that we share with her.
-She loves her lamby (a lamb shaped purse), her gabbage patch doll, and Pooh Bear. She’s already becoming a little mom….
I’m sure Adam will have some fun things to add to this list so we’ll add some more later this week!

So, Ellie is offically sleeping thru the night as of 7 weeks!! She sleeps 6 to 7 hours straight a night. Then after eating she goes back to bed for 3 to 4 more hours. Life sure is good. We moved her into her room and crib at 6 weeks and it was the best thing we ever did!!
The most amazing thing about Ellie, and I’m sure most babies, is how happy they are when they wake up in the morning. Every morning Ellie gives me the biggest smile in the whole world. Now she’s even giving us some cute noises and sounds when she’s happy.

Who do you think she looks like?? We’ve heard both but this picture of my as a baby finally confirmed that she does look alot like me!!
Ellie’s the most precious baby ever!! She’s so sweet. She smiles a ton and looks adorable in this picture.

She loves her OU bow and outfit!! Okay, I love dressing her in it… someday she’ll love dressing up too!
We looked for an OU cheerleading outfit for Ellie all summer and when she arrived. So, I have to admit I found this one a couple weeks ago in the DOG section…. yes she’s wearing a dog outfit, but you’d never know =)
She smiled on the first day of life and she’s been smiling ever since. This was taken with mommy one morning!!
Ellie loves tummy on tummy time with Adam, but every once in a while Ellie and I fall asleep together too!
She can pretty much hold her head up these days so I tried her in the bumbo chair and she loved it! It helps their posture and when you get on her level she’s able to look you straight in the eyes.
